Who we are
The Inter City Intangible Cultural Cooperation Net Work (ICCN) is a dynamic International Organization uniting Local Governments and Cultural Institutions. We champion the pivotal role of intangible culture in fostering sustainable local development.
Our History
Founded through the visionary collaboration of Mayors and Local authorities worldwide in 2004 at Guangneung, Republic of Korea, ICCN officially took root in Egypt in 2008. Since then, we’ve been at the forefront of safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage.

How to Join ICCN?
Your Path to Cultural Preservation!
Qualifying members eager to join ICCN can initiate the process by expressing their wish through an official agreement at the city or organizational level. Simply notify the secretariat to kickstart your journey towards becoming a valued member.
Complete the ICCN Membership Form, detailing your commitment to the preservation of intangible cultural heritage. This form serves as your official pledge to actively contribute to our shared mission.
To ensure the sustainability of our endeavors, members are required to pay annual fees. Your financial support plays a crucial role in fueling our initiatives and maintaining the strength of our network. The payment details will be provided upon your expression of interest.
Submit your completed membership form and proof of annual fee payment to the ICCN Secretariat. This step officially signifies your commitment to our cause and allows us to proceed with the membership approval process.
The ICCN Secretariat will thoroughly review your submission and report it to the Executive Board and General Assembly for their consideration and approval. Rest assured, your dedication to preserving intangible cultural heritage will be acknowledged at the highest levels of our organization.
Upon approval by the Executive Board and General Assembly, you will be officially welcomed into the ICCN family! Gain access to a global network of like-minded communities, governments, and cultural institutions, all working together to safeguard our rich cultural legacy.
As a member, stay engaged with ICCN through participation in General Assembly meetings, Thematic Workshops, and approved programs and activities. Your active involvement ensures the continued success of our shared mission.
